I have this washer stock #LA558K and recently the agitator stopped working on the following cycles: Regular/Heavy, and Permanent Press. It works fine on the Knits/Gentle, and Soak setting. The washer fills with water according to the settings, but just wont spin during the aforementioned 2 cycles. Is there a circuit board problem, or something else. Any help would be appreciated before I call the repair squad so I have an idea of what is wrong. Thanks

Does the motor run at this time?

If it does not then the problem most likely is a bad timer. Unfortunately this part, as many others for this model, is no longer available.

No, once the tub fills with water it is silent and the machine just sits idle until the timer gets to the off position. I had to switch the timer selection to the gentle cycle to drain the tub due to it actually working on this cycle. Thanks for the reply
