Our dishwasher is making a loud humming sound as it cycles. I think the motor bearing is out of it but I can't get the impeller off the motor shaft. How do you remove the impeller? With a puller or does it unscrew?? Thanks

Srooney,

The impeller assembly, screws on and off the motor shaft, it is a standard thread configuration, clockwise to tighten, counterclockwise to loosen.

You'll need to carefully insert a screwdriver into the cooling vents on the back of the motor, to hold the armature and shaft still, while turning the impeller counterclockwise (it's a pretty long threaded shaft, and once you have the impeller loose you can remove the screwdriver).

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
