I need help. The refrigerator door was left ajar for about 12 hours, long enough for everything to thaw.
We secured the door, and after running for 36 hours, the temperature is a meager 68 degrees.
So I turned it off for 2 hours, turned the unit back on and after another 2 hours, there was no change in temperature.
I have read other posts and found the defrost timer and turned it approximately half a turn.
Do you have any other suggestions? Why would leaving the door ajar cause the unit not to cool?

Here is your parts breakdown Model ED0GTQXKQ00"I have read other posts and found the defrost timer and turned it approximately half a turn"You did not say if you actually forced it into a defrost cycle (Freezer fan shuts off)? Remove the covers and check that the evaporator coils are not iced up. This link may help you troubleshoot the problem. http://www.applianceaid.com/refrigerator.html |
