Last week we ran the self clean on our built in Whirlpool oven. After that was done the unit would not heat up and when trying use the unit when the BAKE option was selected, regardless if we press the up or down button for the temperature setting the temperature set point would go down. I just replaced the thermostat on the back of the unit, and the unit will now heat for bake and broil. However, the unit will still not allow the temperature set point for bake will not go up. Has anyone ever ran into this before? If so, what can I check/test next?

Thanks

The problem could be a bad control panel as well as a bad control board. The worst thing is the control board for this model has been discontinued and is no longer available.

I would recommend to open the control panel, remove the control panel ribbon from the control board slot and clean it using a pencil eraser. Plug it back and hopefully it will work.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool oven Model RBS305PDZ6
