Purchased new AP3040319 (2206123) Water inlet valve for 7 year old refridgerator/icemaker. The new valve is the same geomentry and has the correct electrical fittings but the connections to the waterlines in the refridgerator and to the icemaker were compression fittings. The new valve has quick connect fittings for these internal water lines.

I could not find any quick connect fittings or adapters in the local hardware store. Can you help?

Make sure your plastic water lines are not cracked or brittle, if ok, just stick the water lines in the proper holes. Valve will capture the lines and prevent a leak.
Personally I do not like these as if a water line fails, you must buy a new water valve, the lines will damage the valve when pulled out!!
