Hi, I have a kitchen aid dishwasher that has a burnt coil. Should I replace the board also. I read somewere if the board is faulty it will burn the coil out again. If I need the board also what is the part #.

Thanks

Jerry,

The power to the dispenser coil operates by the triac in the control board and it's possible that it cause damage to the dispenser coil. So it would not hurt if you will replace the control board too.

- The control board Part number: AP4309110

Ok, Replaced dispenser and board. Soap dispenser opens now but dishwasher stays in wash cycle. It will wash, drain, then wash again over and over. Also the cancel button does nothing. There are some cockroach droppings in the panel area. The ribbon from the interconnect console to the board I replaced is discolored. I tried to swap back the old board and it has the same problem. What's Next? Test the ribbon?

Thanks

Yes. Using a magnifying glass, check the ribbon cable tracks for a hairline cracks.

So, would that ribbon cause the dishwasher to keep running over and over? Can I test the ribbon with a meter, continuity test? Like I said also the ribbon internally is very discolored. Anything else would cause it to keep running?

Thanks
