I have a GE Profile gas cooktop that the front right (large) burner's igniter has stopped working (it just clicks and only occasionally lights). I've scanned many of the posts and wanted to find out how best to troubleshoot whether the igniter itself or igniter switch is the problem. The other 3 burners ignite without any issue. Once confirmed, what is the best approach for disassembling the cooktop to replace the faulty parts. Thanks in advance!

Hi Scott,

Remove the burner head and check if the ceramic part of the igniter is not damaged. If it is damaged then the igniter has to be replaced. Just pull up the old igniter and remove the wire.

- The part number for the igniter is AP3191250

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE cooktop Model JGP933WEC2WW
