My washer fills then stops. I have been able to hit the front right of the top then it works. Last night it started to fill with water, then stopped after about 2 seconds. I can't get it to do anything now. I think it is the timer, but how can I be sure before I spend $$ for the part that cannot be returned. The timer was not moving on or making any sound.

I would still go with the lid switch, but the model # you gave is not right. If it is the lid switch I am thinking off, it is white in color, and has a white molex plug with 4 terminals on it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

You are right the correct model # is MAV6000AWW. I did order the lid switch and will try that. It is way less costly if it does not work. thanks so much for your imput
