First of all Im guessing on the age. Problem is .. Drier worked fine .. Buzzer went of at end of cycle. 2 hours later went to run drier again and no start.. Checked house fuze. OK.. Checked power to 240 Outlit..OK..Timer however does feal kinda looser then it normaly does.. I am thinking timer also because the drier would just sit and buzz as long as door was closed.. even if timer was OFF.. That was never a problem .. We'd just leave door cracked open.. Is there anyway to test the timer W/O using an Ohm meter.. Maybe by just Bypassing it.. Just to see if the drier runs.. Im not much on AC but it makes sence that the timer just Kinda acts like a solinoid.. Simly alows power to run thru it for X amount of time.. Via diffrent "paths" (AKA Drier settings).. Therefor it makes sence that it could be bypassed to run on normal w/o being timed.. Therefor "maunaly Timed".. Atleast until parts can be found/baught.. The drier is in MAJOR need as my work uniforms must be clean and lint free..LOL clean we can do but Lint is an issue LOL

sounds very familiar as this has happened to me last week after calling a repair man he discovered it was an electronic control switch in the dryer.your dryer sounds like a real oldie so finding the part is difficult but not impossible My repairman was unable to find the part formy very old DE806 dryer and told me to scrap thedryer which got my blood boiling .after 3 days of hunting for the part using the part number given me by the repairman with no luck I looked at the part and found a different number on it and plugged it in and voila I have found the part which is being mailed to me as I write this .the place to go on line is pcappliance repair.com and if the part number doesn't match they have a toll free 800 number don't give up and good luck
