Dryer runs for awhile then shuts down before clothes are dry. The digital readout will then show an HP(heat problem)fault code. I have to restart the dryer a couple times before the clothes are completely dry.

Pretty hard to diagnose without a Model Number

First thing I would do is clean and check the vent system (make sure the outside vent louvers open fully).
