Suddenly, during wash and rinse cycle, the washer is making metal hitting noise, sounds like some loose or cracked parts however, does complete the wash cycling without any leak or code error. It only make the metal clanking noise when it sounds like the breaks are changing gears or mode. My explanation might be off since don't know the exact mechanism. I remove the dome, outer washing plate but having second thoughts of removing the universal joint assy. for any loose or defecting part, moreover have no spanner wrench. It metal striking noise appears to be coming from the tub assy. Noticed no loose part or crack part underneath the drum or around it. Please advise.

Thanks for sending me the link to the service manual. Since posting, I assembled all the rings and dome back together, and ran a wash cycle without any load and heard no hitting or grinding noise. It tells me that it could be the leveler or the outer balance ring must not be leveling properly. I will test again with a load and see if the problem has gone away. Another good Samaritan suggested that I should stop three or four times during the fast spin cycle to recharge the outer ring leveling, to fix the problem.
Thanks again!
