I have a GE Profile that I purchased within the last 5 years. Recently, the water dispensor has been acting erratically. Somtime the water works and sometimes it does not. Does anyone have any idea as to what may be causing the problem.

Thanks,

Hello,

The most common issue on these units is the water line in the door will freeze. Remove the lower kick plate and disconnect the water line. Press the water dispenser and check to see if water comes out of the bottom of the door. If it does the fix is to order and replace the door. If no water comes out you would need to check the voltage at the solenoid when the water lever is depressed.
