Dishwasher leaves residue on dishes and a small amount of water remains in the bottom of the bottom though it pumps well out of the garbage disposal outlet. Leaves me to believe it's doing this between cycles to leaving the residue. Is any body familiar with this problem.

The drain solenoid seems to function.

Is this a timer problem? It runs completely through the cycles!

Thanks

Remove the filter frame (#543 on the break down diagram), unscrew the piston & nut assembly (#564 on the break down diagram) and check the cone seal. Check for any debris inside the body valve.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Hotpoint dishwasher Model HDA3400G00BB

Thanks Gene! I took it off before I posted and hooked up a vacuum in case there was somehting in it, but didn't check the seal!

Thanks Again!
