Wash Machine Makes a load squal sound when agitator is working. It spins with no nose. what would the cause of this and what should I check.

It could be a agitator problem. That is a 2 piece agitator. I would remove the agitator, and put in the water as if you were going to do a wash, and see if it makes a noise. If it does not, I would replace the agitator. I have replaced quite a few of them. The top part of the agitator is called the auger. The part # is 21001878. The base of the agitator part # is 21001530. If it does make the noise in that test cycle, you would have to pop the top up, and then take the front off, and see if you can locate the noise. Tom
