Cannot find a listing for the given model number but here are part for a 98FA-4CX. It is probably very close to yours. Does look like most parts are obsolete. Replacement parts for MAGIC CHEF 98FA-4CX WALLOVEN- STD ELE | AppliancePartsPros.comHow do you know that "power to oven works"? Have you measured it with a meter? The oven light runs off of 120 volts but the elements need the full 240 volts. Perhaps the oven on light also need2 240 but I cannot confirm this as I cannot find a wiring diagram. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug. You may be hard wired. L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. You have to actually measure it.
By the sound of it you may want to get a pro in unless you have a couple extra sons. 240 volts is lethal!!! |
