I am hoping someone can help me diagnose a problem we intermittently see with our Amana washer. When washing heavy loads we sometimes experience water overflowing during the agitation phase. When washing the heavier loads we typically adjust the water level knob fully clockwise to reset then back off 1 or 2 clicks. Thank you for your help...

It could be simple, Open two front panels unscrew top at front (just 2 screws ) lift up top, brace or have assistants holding. Their is a round grey ring on top of tub unit. About 8 plastic clips holding it down, carefully pop them loose. Disconnect water fill tub clamp and remove hose. After ring top assembly is out, wash and/or blow out the drain whole located around top ring. That is the simple fix I know. If its in the drain pump it might be getting clogged with debre. Needs to be looked at by a service professional or if you want to tackle it good luck. Just pulling the hoses off to see if thier clogged is simple but if you are needing to remove you might want to ask for another tip or repair blobs. Hope this was helpful. I know when I get into some simple repair projects they can get away from you. Rob:cool:
