I have frozen soleniod part # ap2039738 , and the dishwasher won't drain. There is melted plastic around the armature of the solenoid .What can cause this melting or sticking of this solenoid? Will replacing the solenoid repair the no draining problem?

Replacing the solenoid should repair the drain problem but you may also have a timer problem.
I would remove the solenoid and then manually operate the drain valve arm just to be sure that you do not have a mechanical problem with the wash/drain flapper valve.

The way the drain is supposed to work is that the timer activates the drain solenoid for a couple seconds. This pulls the solenoid and flapper valve into the drain position. The water pressure then holds the flapper in the drain position until the unit has drained and then the spring pulls it back to the wash position.

If the timer contacts that send power to the solenoid start sticking closed then it gets power for too long and overheats the solenoid.
