I have a Roper dryer and I just recently replaced the push switch. Since replacing this switch the dryer now continues to shut down when it starts to get hot. Is this a thermostat or heat coil issue?

Probably a cycling thermostat. Please post your model number for more information.

did you check to see dryer is venting to outside properly, should have plenty of air blowing to outside, if not check for blockage or kinked vent hosing
