Our Kenmore elite top-loading washing machine won't rinse. It will wash the clothes and will spin, but it won't rinse. We've tried 3 different 'cycles' (e.g. normal, perma-press, etc.) but it refuses to rinse on any cycle. I've read various posts but most won't rinse or spin and the usual problem seems to be the safety switch on the lid. Since ours will spin, that does not seem to be the problem.

Any ideas ?

Do not use Auto Temp.

A rinse cycle is always cold water. Turn the washer on to wash, and ask for cold water. If none comes in, you either need a new water valve, or the screans are blocked on the valve or in the hoses. Tom
