After running the dishwasher, at the end of the cycle water still remains in the tub. The dishwasher is supposed to automatically drain the water, instead I have to manually drain the water (this is done by pressing the Drain Off button on the panel) What part(s) do I need to repair or replace? Note: At the time the garbage disposer had been replaced the dishwasher drain plug was not removed, the water was not draining. Then I removed the drain plug, the water drains but not completely until I press "drain off"

Then I removed the drain plug, the water drains but not completely until I press "drain off" Khira, You most likely have a clog or possibly a kink in the drain hose. Try this, Disconnect the drain hose from the disposal connection, or air gap ? Put the end of the hose in a large bucket,star the dishwasher, let it fill and wash for a few minutes, then select the drain/cancel button and allow the dishwasher to drain into the tub. Check for debris in the water, No debris, would indicate a kinked drain hose . Good Luck. :) :) :)

Unfortunately that was not the problem. In my opinion it is the "mechanism" that allowed the water to automatically drain completely is broken.
This is still the problem: After the cycle, the water will drain half way, then I have to manually press "drain off" to drain/release the rest of the water. What part allows the water to drain automatically? Maybe the control board? Would faulty wiring be the issue?

Khira, Unfortunately, There is no "mechanism" that allows the dishwasher to automatically drain. You have a two direction motor, in the wash cycle, the motor turns in one direction and the wash impeller pushes the water up and out the spray arms. When it's time to drain, the motor direction reverses, the drain impeller turns and pushes the water out the drain hose and into the drain system. All your drain times on all your cycles is approximately 2 minutes long. On average it takes 40 to 60 seconds to drain the tub, if there are no kinks or clogs in the drain lines or pump. If you're sure there are no kinks or clogs in the drain hose, disposal, anti syphon assembly(if you have one), then you'll need to dismantle the pump and check both impellers for damage( I'd expect you to also have had a noise complaint). :) :) :)
