Our washer was overflowing and a repair man replaced the level switch. One month later it stopped going through it's complete cycle. I thought it was the timer and replaced it, still doing the same thing. It stops the cycle and the timer hums like its trying to work. I pulled the plasic hose from the level switch and it 'reset' and I could start the cycle again. It stopped at the same place. If I turn the knob to any point (while the timer is humming) it acts like it wants to agitate. HELP, I don't want to pay for more service calls.

On empty washer disconnect the pressure hose from the water level switch and blow some air through the hose to make sure it's clean. Reconnect the hose and give it a try.

Follow Gene's advice and blow in the water level switch hose to clear any buildup of soap residue at the tub. You can also force some vinegar down the tube with a turkey baster to clear it.
