You are welcome. I'm glad you were able to fix it.

Seems ok for now however the shape of the cubes are different simi cicular instead of pillow shape. I bet there is a different ice bin for simi circles. Those new shape cubes tend to get stuck in the chute. Can't have everything. Thanks for your help

I have a GE Profile Actica side-by-side refrigerator. The Model # is: PSS25MGNA WW. The ice maker, all of sudden, started dispensing ice. No one was near the fridge, nor in the kitchen, at the time. It squirts water if I push the button for water. I was able to stop the mayhem by pushing the lock button. What part do I need to replace on this heap this time?

A few hours after I pressed the lock button on the front of the fridge the thing started beeping intermittently.

I would replace the main control board first.

Gene, Thanks for your help. Would you believe this? Today I put the front control panel back on the fridge to see what would happen, and it is acting normally. It has been working properly for an hour now...I bet that that means that the main control board is on its way out...what do you think?
Thanks again,
Jason

Do not rush with parts and watch the fridge.

Hey J.P. Any luck fixing the dispencer door that gets stuck in the open position allowing warm air to get into the ice maker cabnet? My door does not not necessarily get stuck open, it just flaps around. Seems like there should be some spring pressure to push it closed, but I can't figure it out.

Hello, Would like to suggest you start you own thread in the refrigerator repair section, using Post New topic button. People will then see it is someone with a problem. This should increase your odds of getting a relevant reply. Do not forget to post the complete model number of the refrigerator. Gene.
