I needed to change a oven light receptacle out for my ex wife. Ok originally I had trouble getting glass off light so I thought you had to unsrew the srews in there. Bad idea, it shorted receptacle out. I ordered new one. It was very difficult to get wires(very short) back onto receptacle stabs but I did it. There were 2 that went together on one stab and then one on the other. Turned breaker back on and light worked but would not shut off. Is it possible when I originally shorted old receptacle out that I fried the switch?
