Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/21/2011(UTC) Posts: 2		My icemaker is overflowing and causes ice formations inside the freezer. I have change the water filter and checked the selonoid valve. Also I canot remove the icemaker from the slide brackets, in order to check it more thoroughly. I have followed the instructions of removing the wire harness cover and pusing it back, the instructions say to release the clips under the icemaker to slide it forward, mine only has the push up clip on the left side and pushing it up will release the left side but I canot get the right side to budge. I tried removing a screw under the ice maker right side and tried to use a hair dryer to melt any ice but the right side will not slide from the bracket. Please help, I should mention that the unit will make ice and drop it in the door bin- but it also causes the the ice formations all over the freezer compartment due to the overflow-I assume Marvin

I'm assuming you mean the water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. The file with the instructions on the ice maker removal is attached to the reply but I do not see how it can help you to diagnose the problem. Most likely the water inlet valve is the culprit. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP3160649 Gene.
