Hi, can anyone help, I have been given a maytag fridge freezer, the freezer works well the fridge does not. When you move the temperature controller for the fridge it is attached to a cog but the cog is not attched to anything so my conclusion is something is missing that controls the temperature. But what? Please can someone help so I can order the correct part thank you. Danielle

The refrigerator control arm should control the damper assembly. If it is missing then you will need this part. I'm also putting a link to the parts diagram at the bottom of this post. Hope this helps.Part number: AP4069823

Is this something I can fit myself? I have no experience of working on fridges but able!

If you have already been inside the controls, then I don't see why you couldn't. It's not hard to do, just take your time changing the parts off your old one onto this new one.:)
