D/W was'nt draining so I took apart the little black pump that the drain hose
attaches too and cant seam to get it to seal.Its got three little screws and
a large o-ring.On a better note My dishwasher now drains but now has a
slow drip over a cookie sheet.:mad::confused:

Dry it off good and double check that it is leaking from the drain pump's Oring.
Water has a tendency to run along a fitting and the drip from someplace other than the actual leak location. A mirror and a flashlight are useful here.
The reason I mention the above is I see that they use the squeeze open type of hose clamp. Personally I have little faith in these especially if you cannot get it back to the exact location it was on the hose. I usually replace them with the screw type clamps.
If you are sure it is the Oring, open it up and coat the Oring in silicone or lithium high temp grease and reassemble. Another possible solution is to coat it with silicone caulking, just make sure to clean it and mounting surfaces before applying. Also let it cure for 24 hours before reinstalling. After all you have nothing to loose. If it still leaks, replace the pump. |
