I have an Amana gas dryer. It does not appear to be compleating cycles. Sometimes it heats way to hot; other times it takes several alot of time to dry a load. Is the cycle therostat the problem?

Alot of times those Amana's clog up with lint inside the blowert housing. You would have to remove the front, and then remove the blower housing. There are two 5/16th screws on each side to remove it. Then clean it out, and clean the vent hose in the back, and then turn it on and see if the air is blowing well to the outside. If not, get the old leaf blower, and take the vent hose off the wall behind the dryer, and stick the leaf blower in, and blow out the lint to the outside. If everything is good there, I would replace the operating thermostats. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
