I have a "general" question concerning the flow maintenance of condencor Drain Lines. My current HVAC whole house unit has a 3/4" line, ~22' in length. In the past, as recommended by HVAC professional, a generic liquid bleach product has been suggested. My question is how often, and how much of that type of fluid should be "added" to said line? My unit is in the Southeast US, and it does "sweat" quite a bit during the hotter months (~May to late Sept.)

I would think once/twice a year would be sufficent in your area.Google ez-trap.I have one and like it.easy to install. Will stop unit if there is a condensate back up.Includes a clear trap as well.If you get a hose to blast it out WITHOUT backing water up into the evap.drain pan that would be great as well.

Thanks, Ryan - The trap unit sounds very good - I'll keep you undated.
