Dryer was making a bone chilling squeeking sound as it operated. Traced the noise to the two drum roller wheels. Replaced wheels, belt and drum guides with no problem. When it came time to put it all back together I found a mystery part.
Found in the right front dryer bottom was a small clear plastic molded piece with a small spring laying nearby. The spring looks somewhat like that found in a ball point pen but slightly larger in diameter and about 1 1/2 inches long. I've searched the parts breakdowns and cannot locate the part nor where the part goes or what it's function is.
The clear plastic mystery piece has two triangular protusions on one side, a 4 square hole center piece and is about 1 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide. It appears to clip into something but what/where is a mystery!! If needed, I will attempt to post a photo of the mystery parts. Any help would be most appreciated.

The mystery part location has been found. It's a spacer clip found under the lid assembly at the forward side edge(s). It's not shown in the detailed parts breakdown. As far as the spring goes - it may be from a retractable pen! How it found it way into the bottom of the dryer - who knows!!! Ha Ha.
Dryer is all back together and sounds very quiet. Wife is happy and now I can get back to my car restoration! :) :) :) :D
