I have the same problem as the post below. Changed the gas valve coil. Intermittent heat, but mostly no heat still exists.

I didn't check the flame like this guy did. How do I do that?

What else could the problem be?


I have a whirlpool model lgr8620pgo
ser number mr2802262.
It doesn’t dry the clothes in the same amount of time. It gets hot but not as hot as it used to. I have cleaned out the lint filter, the fan housing in the back of the machine, and the exhaust pipe to the outside. From reading around on other comments it looks like it may be the gas valve coil? Thanks for the help

Did you do that? This is very important and most common issue.
