I'm getting a clicking every 1minute 20 seconds from the wiring harness contected to compressor. I'll hear a hum for 6 sec then it clickes off. I am salso getting a faint electrical burn smell in the kitchen. I would assume they are both related. They started at the same time this am. Fidge is 8y/o. is it as simple as replacing the relay/overload or is this a bigger problem. I also replaced the ADC control because of frosting up on freezer coils. Still have that problem but only every 3-4 months. Would this be related? What needs to be done?

You would not know exactly until you replace the starting device. Hopefully it will solve the problem and the compressor is not damaged yet. 2. The first problem is much more important at this time. They are absolutely separate and lets do the first first. - The part number for the start device is AP4009244 Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag refrigerator Model MSD2757DEBGene. P.S. This part has been completely redesigned and looks very different. It comes with the installation instructions.
