We have a Whirlpool Clean Touch electric dryer that won't get too hot. Any ideas? We recently got it as it came with the house we just purchased. The lint filter was VERY full.

I think you may be right because I took off the back hose, and quite warm air is coming out of the dryer. How can a clogged vent tunnel cause the clothes not to dry as well. I'd almost think it would make the inside of the dryer warmer? Thanks for your help!

If the ducting is clogged, 2 things happen....1st the moisture from the clothes cannot get to the outside causing the clothes to stay damp, and 2nd when there is not proper airflow to the outside, the heating element will short cycle meaning it will not get to proper temp inside.
