Hi again

Well I've read loads of posts here to try and fathom this out for myself and not achieved it:o
I did read on here that I could swap the wires over on the two electric water valves [not sure what they're called] that allow water into the machine, I unplugged each one and plugged them back onto the opposite valve. When I now pressed the drinks dispenser lever the ice maker filled with water [and overflowed into the ice bucket:o ], when depressing the ice dispensing lever I didn't get any water out of the drinks dispenser:confused:

Not sure what this tells me only that there could be a fault with the valve that lets water into the ice making part of the freezer? I was hoping to swap the water hoses out of the valve over to do another test but the manufacturers make them a different size so couldn't do it.

Really appreciate any help as I have to order parts from the States and it won't be cheap with UK taxes added:mad:

P.S. could anyone explain how the wire trip switch in the ice maker bit works and what position it's supposed to be in to make ice;)
