My Grandson is renting an apartment in Madison WI. His GE Microwave Model # JVM131K002 door had a hole on the inside window. Is it safe for him to use or should the door be replaced?

Hi Grandma :)

In my opinion, it's not safe to use a microwave if the door is damaged in any way, especially if there is a hole in it (even if the hole is on the inside). Unfortunately, the inner door film is no longer available and the door is not available as an assembly (see attached diagram). Might just be time for a new microwave.
