Okay... what you're describing now sounds like the timer now moves on auto but you have long dry times.

Your vent tube has been cleaned repeatedly.

At this point I see two things:

1) Coils? To check this, start the dryer and sit down next to it. It will start the flame for a while and then shut the flame off. This is normal. Grab a book and hang out because you want to be sure that the flame restarts every time.

If the coils are on their way out, the dryer will restart something between 2 and 10 times, then it won't restart the flame at all. It has to do with the coils failing once they heat up.

2) If the dryer heats fine, reheats fine for a whole 45 minutes and the air is blowing out the vent fine... then look at how damp the clothes are when they come out of the washer. If they're more wet than normal, you have a washer that's not spinning as fast as it should and you probably need a washer belt.

More water in the clothes = more time to try them.

There is an off chance your flame sensor could be going wonky on you but it's not the odds on favorite. It's more of a long shot.

My money is on bad coils but either way, good luck!

Tom,

You will need to spent some time at the dryer.

Remove the bottom access panel. Set the dryer on auto dry. Start it with some wet closes inside and watch the flame. I need to know:
a) does it start every time when the igniter is on;
b) how long it stays on and how long it's off;
c) what is the color of the flame.

Post the results.

Gene.

Started in Timed dry at 10:45. Flame went off at 11:03. Watched it try to ignite every 45 sec. or so until 11:25. Would not ignite. Opened door and closed it pushed start. Did not ignite. Opened door and closed again and reset timer back, pushed start and it started. Flame went out in about tem minutes again. Sounds like we are doing a lot of cool air drying.The dry select knob was in "regular dry". Are those the coils up front of the chambernear the bottom panel. I noticed what to be sensors on the chamber.

Tom,

The problem is a bad gas valve coils. No doubt about it.
