I will assume it has a control panel and a control board

Remove the inner liner from the door
Check that everything looks OK and it is dry
Check for any condensation on the LCD display or window.
Remove the plugs from the control board and reconnect them
Remove the ribbon cable that comes from the control panel to the control.
Check it for hairline cracks across the tracks a magnifying glass helps here
If it is the type that does not have a connector on the end (just insulation is missing) clean the contact tracks with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser it is too abrasive.
Not a bad idea to also clean the connector on the control board itself. You can use electronics cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush, just be gentle. Do not plug it back together till all the solvent has evaporated.
Then give it a try.

One other thing where you will think to yourself "What does he think I am, stoopid" is has the protective cover plastic been removed from the display.
