Please if anyone can help. No one on the tech support lines seem to be able to help. I am trying to convert this thing from NG to LP. I've found a part number for the kit but it says it only works if I have xyz gas valve and xyz ignitor module. Mine are different than the ones they have listed. I have found a part number for the rebuild kit to change my valve from NG to LP and I have found (I think) the main burner orifices and pilot orifice. My question is: do I HAVE to change the ignitor module. I would think the ignitor wouldn't care which gas it's igniting. My module is a honeywell S86F. The kit says I gotta change the S8600F module to a S8600M module. Why? And since I dont have the S8600F, what should I do now? Can anyone out there please offer any advise? Even if you know of another forum..... I am open to anything at this point. Thank you in advance. BF

BF I think if you check the two modules out you will find that the one used for NG is not a 100% shut off and the LP is 100% shut off They want the Lp pilot to lock out on safety and not keep dumping gas. Nat gas will go up the stack an LP will dump out and build up in the room. Later Paul
