Here are your parts Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LEV7646AW0 | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the wiring diagram, see the attachment. The way it works is in timed dry the timer motor gets power directly from Neutral to L1 (120 volts) through timer switch 0 TM contacts. In auto modes the timer motor gets power through the heating coil ( when the coil shuts off (timer switch 0 WB contacts) (240 volts). The resistor then drops the 240 down to 120 for the timer motor. Perhaps that resistor is blown. Perhaps the timer switch TM to WB contacts are not closing. Perhaps you have a grounded element. Unplug the unit. Always unplug at least one side of any device you are measuring to ensure that yo do not read an alternate/parallel circuit path. Resistor - measure it with a meter. Timer - set the unit to mid scale auto cycle and measure the contacts both sets should be 0 ohms. Element - Unplug both wires to the coil. Check it with a meter, should be around 10 ohms. Then check from each side of the coil to the case/frame, both should be infinite ohms (open). If not the coil may have sagged or broken and is touching the case. This can cause it to run on continuously. |
