Good afternoon,
There is a rubbing sound coming from my dryer. After removing the front panel and the blower cover, I have found out that my squirrel cage is bad. The fan has broken free of the hub. Can you please let me know you to loosen the hub without braking the plastic fins on the motor? Also, is the squirrel cage a serviceable item, or does it come as an assembly?

Thanks

Not sure I understand what you mean by plastic fins on the motor.

Check out #13.
If your motor does not have a place for a wrench on it's armature, you will have to grab it with vice grips.
Remember it is left hand thread.
Do not be surprised if you have to destroy the blower wheel, it is not uncommon for them to seize onto the motor shaft.
