I started my whirlpool wed5820sw0, then went back to it about 5 minutes later and it was off. Tried restarting and it won't. Also, the light doesn't come on when door is open. I've tested the door switch and all thermostats for continutity, and they are fine. Anyone know what might be wrong?

I hate to be Mr. Obvious here, but, ...are you sure you have power to the unit? LOL

Is it gas or electric?

If electric, check for burned wire at pigtail terminal block .....or tripped circuit breaker.

Also, .......could be a dropped neutral in your electrical circuit.

Does sound like a power problem as RoboJoe said re: no interior light.

Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line or Neutral without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
L1 (black) to Neutral (white) is the side of the line for the motor.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
