One of the burner heating elements on my stove needs replaced. I have found the correct replacement part on the site but the problem I am having is figuring out how to get the glass top off to get to the element. I have looked at the parts diagrams on this site but it doesnt show specfically (at least that I can tell) how to get the top off.
I have looked for screws under the front lip of the glass top when I opened the oven door and also looked for any type of clip but I cant seem to find anything. I was hoping someone on the forum here might have worked on this or a similar maytag model before. Thank you to anyone who can help.

Thank you that helped a lot. I was hoping that I could get the glass top off without taking the whole top assembly off but it was not the case. In case anyone else needs to do this on this or a similar model you have to open the oven door and remove 2 screws on the left and right edge towards the top of the stove. Then the whole top assembly can be lifted up and pulled toward the front. There are 2 wiring harneses attaching the assembly to the control board.

Once the top assembly is off there are 6 screws 3 on each side left and right that hold the glass top to the burner tray. Once those are out you can get to any of the burners to replace them.
