I have a new front loading washer on the large pedestal. It is located on the 2nd floor of my house. When the spin cycle occurs it shakes the entire house. The glasses in my kitchen cabinet shake and you can feel it in all the floors. How can I stablize this washer so it won't tear down my house??

First, check to make sure all the bolts that attach the pedestal to the machine are all tight. Second floor is not a friendly place for these machines, so leveling and stabilizing are NOT going to be easy. Maytag makes a stabilization kit for these that includes large rubber "coasters" into which the feet of the pedestal fit; and sandpaper disks that are glued to the floor UNDER the rubber cups. The feet are then leveled until the vibration is minimized.

Thank you for the input. I think I will call the place that installed them and see if they can put on the stablizer kit for me.
