As in the other question I posted in the washers forum, the home we recently bought came with all very nice appliances(whirlpool). She left them in rough shape.

The question for this appliance is--how do I get those fins off inside the dryer tub??
They are clearish plyable plastic and there is stuff in them like coins, buttons and lint. That is also the type of stuff found behind the dryer itself as the vent was not connected.

Thanks, Jean

ETA-- I may have a question about my dishwasher too:D

Take out the lint filter and you should find two screws. Take them out, then use a screw driver to release the top from the cabinet by inserting it at the edge of the gap between the top and front and prying up. The top will flip up and you can get to the screws that hold the vanes.

got the nerve to do it and u guys are awsome!! 2 for 2!! Found 2 pennies, lint balls and some smiley stickers. I just hope I didn't unhook something when I very carefully put the top back, but it came apart without a fight!!

Thanks again you guys are my heroes!!

That's great, but be sure and clean out the inside and the lint chute while you are doing this as they are likely filled with debris and if not cleaned out it will harm the performance of the machine and maybe cause the thermal safety devices to kick in and stop things altogether.
