Hello....Back in January, you helped me fix my washer, by suggesting the bearing kit....

Now, suddenly it is having a brake problem. When it needs to spin, motor hums loud...might smoke, or blow that outlet's circuit breaker. After many hours...when the water is cool. It will start, but takes a long time to speed up, and makes a lot of noise, with "hot" smell . I am guessing that my choice in washers during the thrust bearing kit install was not correct, and the brake is not releasing. I remember when I installed the C clip, it went in...but did not seat properly. It held everything in place, so I left it alone. Perhaps now it bent, or seated by itself...and now the brake is hitting when it shouldn't??
Any suggestions what I should check. or do?
