We have a 3 year old GE Profile PSH25MGTA refrigerator/freezer. Every week or so, the ice in the bin melts and creates icicles hanging from the lower shelves. We've put a thermometer in the freezer, and even though we've set the temp at -6 F (based on GE's suggestion), we've discovered the temperature is usually between -10 and -15 F (although the display in the fridge always says its -6 F). Sometimes the temp in the freezer goes up to 30 F (we've been told the freezer goes through a defrost mode 2x a day).

After speaking with GE Customer Service, we tried turning it off for 15 min (by flipping the circuit breaker) since they said that might reset it. It didn't work.

This doesn't happen every day, but is extremely annoying. I would prefer to know what parts need to be replaced so we can do the repairs ourselves. If we order the parts, do they come with installation instructions?

Seems like a motherboard problem, located in the back. Pull it out and look on the back, might have bad solder joints by the power relay. If ok, I would replace it AP3957581, it's the most probable problem.

We replaced the motherboard and it seems to have worked. Thank you for your help.
