I installed a new ice maker and everything works one time. I have to push the arm down lightly to initiate the harvest cycle. After the ice drops and the tray fills with water it won't start the cycle again.

What is the complete model number of the refrigerator? How did you find this part number?
Gene.

Gene. I have a Kenmore side by side model number 106.54592400, the original part number for the ice maker is 106.626662, when I searched on the appliance parts pros and the sears site they indicated the replacement part number was W10122506. The replacement part is identical in all ways except the wiring harness. My original was direct wired and the replacement came with a short harness with identical number and colors of wires. When I removed the original wire clip it fit into the replacement perfectly and the ice maker operated except as described earlier.
