I have a whirlpool model lgr8620pgo ser number mr2802262. It doesn’t dry the clothes in the same amount of time. It gets hot but not as hot as it used to. I have cleaned out the lint filter, the fan housing in the back of the machine, and the exhaust pipe to the outside. From reading around on other comments it looks like it may be the gas valve coil? Thanks for the help

Make sure you have a "normal" flame. Should be blue and a bit orange with flame not "lazy" but shooting up toward the vent. If ok, you probably have bad gas valve coils. You could also take the back of the dryer off and verify when the gas valve opens up, you still have voltage going to the gas valve.

ok, I checked the flame and it is blue and healthy,
when I have it on high heat, the flame stays on for about 10 seconds and then turns off for about 60 and then turns back on for 10 and so forth,
would this still be the gas valve or a thermostat issue,
also where can I order the part for these items,
thanks again, mike

Just click on the "find parts" box and order the coil kit AP3094251

thank you very much,
I am going to attempt the repair this weekend
Some of the posts mentioned they also saw the gas come on for 10 sec and then go off for 60 and so on. So I guess it is not normal for the flame to only stay on for 10 seconds on high?
thanks again, Mike
