I have to do 2 extra spins on high after the washer is finished, before I can put the clothes in the dryer. Otherwise the dryer takes forever to dry. Thought I had a dryer problem. Several months ago the washer started making a loud/squeaking noise when it's agitating. It doesn't always make this noise, but most of the time it does. I have to wash just about everything on low as high seems to agitate real fast & hard. Not good for the clothes. I noticed some oil under the washer some months ago when I moved it to clean. (cleaned out the dryer hose & vent thinking something was wrong with the dryer) Figured oil was not a good sign. Washer seems to clean the clothes just fine. I want to find out what all is wrong, so my husband can fix it. Thanks!

The oil means the seal on your transmission has failed, and now your transmission is failing. You can replace it, it is not a difficult job and the cost is reasonable, but given the aggressive pricing of new machines you should consider replacing the washer.
