First of all thank you gene for helping a few months back on my kirkland WHirlpool frig....it ended up being the Thermostat. I bought the part and installed it myself.this is a first for me...thank you

Anyway I have my dryer on a GFI circuit in the garage and not only will it not start but it tripped the circuit breaker and the GFI. I plugged a small frig into the GFI and it will reset and operate just fine. When I plug in the Dryer it immediately flips the GFI. I checked the dryer exaust and it is ok but not clogged a far as I can tell

what is next?

Try to plug the dryer in the outlet with regular breaker instead of GFI. Post the results.

Gene.
