Hi,

Some time ago we noticed that the cooling fan was no longer running when using the upper oven. It comes on and works fine when the lower oven is on but it doesn't come on for the upper oven which is also the self-cleaning oven. I'm suspecting a controller issue but thought it may be as simple as a bad relay.

Anyone have experience with this oven?

Thanks,

Ted

Hello foxflier. Any luck resolving? The same thing happened on our oven last week. When the bottom oven is on, the fans work fine (top and bottom). When we enable just the top oven, no fans.

I ended up having the controller board replaced at an outrageous price  but kept the old board since it still worked. Looking at the old board I found a burnt trace and likely a bad relay that controls the upper fan. I say likely as I just didn't take the time to test it before I stuck in on the shelf. I believe a current surge probably knocked out the trace and relay.

If I had it to do over again I'd pull that board and look it over good and experiment a little before I paid for a new board.

Regards

Thanks for the reply. Other threads have pointed to the controller board. I plan on pulling mine out this weekend when I have time to take a look at it. Hopefully it is not difficult to replace if I see some issues with the relay etc. I believe it is around $200 for a new board.
